I had a pleasant stay at Terminal Hotel, which is conveniently located right next to the JR Matsuyama station. The staff made a lasting impression with their friendly and attentive service. Although the hotel is simple and somewhat dated, it was very clean and functional. The hotel is great value for money, especially considering the accessibility to the tram system that can take you around the city. However, the distance from the city center might be a slight inconvenience for some.

I spent three nights at this hotel, and while the rates were low, the place felt quite dated and worn out.
